By accessing gridsgear.co, reserving or purchasing Ring R1, or using the gridsgear app and insights service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please don't use the site, the ring, or the app.

We may update these terms as the product and the science evolve. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date; continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.

Ring R1 is sold in small generations. A $50 reservation holds your size and finish for the current generation and is fully credited against the final price at ship. Prices are listed in USD unless otherwise noted and exclude taxes, duties and shipping where applicable.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion — for example if pricing is clearly an error, payment cannot be authorised, or we suspect fraudulent activity. If we cancel, we refund any amount already paid in full.

Generations ship in scheduled waves announced on the site. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery; title transfers once payment has cleared in full.

International orders may incur duties or import taxes, which are the recipient's responsibility. We declare ring shipments at full value for insurance.

The 30-night trial, two-year warranty and lifetime repair program for Ring R1 are described in full on our Warranty & Returns page, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Nothing in these Terms limits the statutory consumer rights that apply in your jurisdiction.

Ring R1 and the gridsgear app are wellness instruments — not medical devices. The readings and insights are intended to support self-knowledge, not to diagnose, treat or prevent disease. If you have a clinical concern, see a qualified clinician.

You agree not to misuse this site or service — including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, reverse-engineering the sensor firmware, scraping at a rate that disrupts service, or reselling readings without consent.

Biometric readings collected by Ring R1 are yours. They are stored encrypted, kept on-device until you opt in to cloud sync, and exportable at any time as a single JSON archive.

We never sell, license or share individual readings with third parties. Aggregated, fully anonymised research data may be used to improve future generations — opt-out is always available in the app.

The gridsgear name, the Ring R1 mark, our sensor designs, calibration algorithms, app interface and documentation are trademarks and copyrighted works of gridsgear, Inc. You may not use them to imply endorsement, association, or sponsorship without our written permission.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, gridsgear will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of Ring R1, the app, or this website — including any decision made on the basis of a reading.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the ring is capped at the amount you paid for that unit.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the courts of Porto, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
